Everyone who signs up is in the show. First rehearsal auditions are for placement of characters within the show. Our directors often give actors multiple roles and characters within each run of a production. Our goal opportunity and success in both learning and performing!
Learn, Rehearse, and have fun!
Rehearsals are approximately 6-8 weeks teaching our young actors songs, choreography, character acting, and how to work together, trust each other, and support each other in order to create the best performance possible.
Usually, rehearsals are Tuesday & Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.
JD Theatricals shows always perform at least 2 weekends of shows with 4 shows per weekend. We want each actor to have lots of opportunities in different roles. The first weekend is showing what they have learned in rehearsals -- following weekends allow them to improve upon their characters and grow in their performances.
Once the show is Cast -there are no refunds. In the event of unforeseeable conflicts - you can ask for a credit in tuition towards a future show.
Tuition: per actor
Tuition for each show is $550 ($500 if paid in advance - see the tuition page for date). We can work with you on splitting the payment to make it easier.

We do have a limited number of ways we can assist with the financial commitment in multiple payments, volunteer time in trade, services rendered, partial scholarships, etc - that we reserve for family in need. We always want to work with our families and actors so contact us for details and we can discuss an agreeable solution that both sides can commit to.
We cannot pull off our big production shows with out parents volunteering their time and expertise. We recognize to volunteer is not equal in all families (job commitments, single parents, transportation, etc).
We ask each family to help in some way. We rely on your assistance and respect your time. We can use help with costumes, concessions, tickets/check in, ushers, and make-up/costume changes.
Making a commitment to help do 3 things! 1) it keeps our price down (compare us to other youth theaters that charge more than twice what we do). 2) you become invested in the successful outcome of our final product. 3) You set a priceless example to your kids that volunteers make the biggest difference is society!
